MediHerb LivCo® is a practitioner-exclusive herbal supplement formulated with Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum), Schisandra (Schisandra chinensis) and Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) to support liver and digestive health.

Traditionally used in Western herbal medicine, milk thistle supports healthy liver function and is traditionally regarded as a hepatoprotectant. It also acts as a cholagogue, helping to promote healthy bile production and secretion. Rosemary has traditionally been used to support digestive function and help relieve symptoms of indigestion, including intestinal gas, bloating, digestive spasms and feelings of fullness.

Active Ingredients

Each capsule contains:

• Silybum marianum (Milk Thistle) extract – 34 mg
  • Equivalent to minimum dry seed – 2.38 g
  • Standardised to flavonolignans (calculated as silybin) – 24 mg
• Schisandra chinensis (Schisandra) extract – 167 mg
  • Equivalent to dry fruit – 1 g
• Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) extract – 66.7 mg
  • Equivalent to dry leaf – 500 mg

Directions for Use

Adults: Take 1 capsule, 3–4 times daily, or as directed by your registered healthcare practitioner.

Warnings

• If taking iron supplements or where iron supplementation is required, do not take simultaneously with meals or iron supplements.
• Use with caution if taking immunosuppressive medicines, particularly where liver enzymes are elevated. Do not take at the same time as immunosuppressive medication.
• Schisandra may increase the clearance of certain medicines from the body. Consult your healthcare practitioner before use if taking medicines with a narrow therapeutic index, including warfarin or digoxin.
• Use with caution if taking metronidazole or ornidazole.
• Discontinue use 7 days prior to general anaesthesia.
• If symptoms persist, consult your healthcare practitioner.
• Dietary supplements should not replace a balanced diet.
• Keep out of reach of children.
