MediHerb Horsechestnut Complex is a practitioner-exclusive herbal supplement formulated with Horse Chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum), Ginkgo biloba and Butcher’s Broom (Ruscus aculeatus) to support healthy peripheral circulation and vascular health.

This comprehensive formula helps maintain healthy blood circulation and supports vein health. It is formulated to help relieve symptoms associated with mild varicose veins, including leg swelling, heaviness, itching and discomfort.

Traditionally used in Western herbal medicine, horse chestnut and butcher’s broom have also been used to help relieve symptoms of haemorrhoids, including discomfort, itching and swelling. The addition of ginkgo provides further support for healthy peripheral circulation.

Active Ingredients

Each tablet contains:

• Aesculus hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut) extract – 200 mg
  • Equivalent to minimum dry seed – 1.2 g
  • Standardised to Escin – 38 mg
• Ginkgo biloba extract – 30.5 mg
  • Equivalent to minimum dry leaf – 1.5 g
  • Standardised to Ginkgo flavonglycosides – 7.5 mg
• Ruscus aculeatus (Butcher’s Broom) extract – 200 mg
  • Equivalent to minimum dry root and rhizome – 800 mg
  • Standardised to Ruscogenin – 20 mg

Directions for Use

Adults: Take 1 tablet, 2–3 times daily with food, or as directed by your registered healthcare practitioner.

Do not break or crush the enteric-coated tablets. Swallow whole.

Warnings

• Contains sugars (60 mg per tablet).
• Use with caution if taking aspirin, warfarin, cilostazol, antipsychotic medicines (such as haloperidol), HIV non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors or anticonvulsant medicines.
• Patients taking anticonvulsants may benefit from ensuring adequate vitamin B6 intake. Consult your healthcare practitioner.
• May cause gastric upset in some individuals.
• Discontinue use 7 days prior to general anaesthesia.
• If symptoms persist, consult your healthcare practitioner.
• Dietary supplements should not replace a balanced diet.
• Keep out of reach of children.
