❄️ CHINAHERB Warm Cold Limbs — Improve Circulation, Nourish Blood, and Restore Warmth

CHINAHERB Warm Cold Limbs (Dang Gui Si Ni Tang / 當歸四逆湯) is a classical Chinese herbal formula first recorded in Zhang Zhongjing’s “Treatise on Febrile Diseases” during the late Eastern Han Dynasty. It is traditionally used to treat Blood Deficiency and Cold Condensation in the Meridians, restoring warmth and improving circulation in the extremities.

🌿 Key Benefits

• Warms cold hands and feet caused by Yang deficiency and Blood stagnation.
• Supports healthy blood flow and circulation in the extremities.
• Helps relieve pain and discomfort from cold-related conditions.
• Can assist in managing Raynaud’s syndrome, chilblains, and circulation disorders.
• May support relief in gout, frostbite, early-stage angiitis, and arthritis.

🧘 Traditional Use in TCM

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Cold Coagulation and Blood Deficiency restrict Yang from reaching the extremities. As a result, blood cannot fully nourish the vessels. Therefore, this leads to:

  • Cold, bluish or purplish hands and feet

  • Weak, thin pulse

  • Pain or numbness in the extremities

Consequently, Warm Cold Limbs disperses Cold, nourishes Blood, and restores Yang, allowing warmth and circulation to return to affected areas.

🌱 Modern Applications

The formula is commonly used for:

  • Circulatory disorders of the lower and upper extremities

  • Thrombo-occlusive vasculitis and early-stage angiitis

  • Raynaud’s syndrome and chilblains

  • Gout with cold-exacerbated symptoms

  • Painful extremities from frostbite, arthritis, or poor circulation

  • Stubborn headaches or testicular pain associated with Cold and Blood Deficiency

Additionally, it may improve overall circulation and comfort in patients experiencing chronic cold extremities.

⚠️ Cautions

• Contraindicated during pregnancy.
• Consult a healthcare professional if taking other medications or if symptoms persist.
• Discontinue use and seek professional advice if adverse reactions occur.
• Keep out of reach of children.
